Our Screening Process

With a passion for creating some of Johnson County’s most prominent communities, Matt Adam has harnessed the talent of the area’s finest homebuilders in the region to deliver a well-conceived and developed community each and every time.

Part of that process includes meticulous screening to ensure the best team members are involved. Each of our partners is approved through our diligent process. This close watch is to ensure that the building and architectural standards and styles are all adhered to, even that the elevation conforms to the guidelines and is appropriate for the architecture style of the community. No detail is left behind. Our Design Review Committee (DRC) carefully looks at everything, including customer service, which is a top priority.

Step 1

Each builder is carefully reviewed before selection to ensure the quality of their designs and that they are able to conform to our high building standards. We assess their track record when it comes to adhering to schedules, presentable jobsites, responsiveness, and if they keep quality protocols.

Step 2

Everything from the floor plan to the exterior of the house goes through the DRC. This includes exterior paint, stone and landscape selections, not to mention window design and even basketball goal placement so that it all conforms to the guidelines of the community, keeping in line with our higher standards to stand the test of time.

Step 3

We manage quality so you don’t even have to think about it. That’s why we implement a structured vetting process of builders, materials, and building standards, and continue to watch over everything throughout the entire process, topping that off with the highest caliber amenities and lushest landscape.

Holthaus Building, Inc. is a second-generation family business that has helped
homeowners bring their dream homes to reality since 2006. Holthaus Building
partners with the Kansas City area’s most talented architects, designers and
craftsmen to provide exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

Jay provides homeowners with a personalized, hands-on experience from the design through
completion. Homeowners communicate directly with Jay through the design and
construction of their custom home ensuring that the completed project meets or
exceeds their needs and expectations.

Rick Standard

Since 1972, R.M. Standard Construction has maintained a tradition of building the finest custom homes in Kansas City. We specialize in building luxury custom homes and home renovations. Our objective is to provide a superior quality product that is delivered through the highest level of professional service. The precision and craftsmanship achieved in executing the owner’s vision is unmatched in the construction industry. We work closely with design teams and trade contractors to fine tune the implementation of every detail. R.M. Standard Construction excels when working as part of a collaborative team and prides itself in creating a positive working relationship with our owners, design teams and subcontractors.

R.M. Standard Construction is comprised of Rick and Brett Standard. Rick and Brett are onsite daily and oversee the construction of each custom residence. There isn’t anything to get lost in translation, as communications are between Rick, Brett, the owner and design team. We have found this structure to not help build a strong relationship with the owner, but also, help maintain budget and schedule. We’ve worked with many of the same trades for over 20 years. Working with many of the same craftsmen has not only created a strong team, but we consider each other family.
